HP Announces Three New Printers

In addition to the nine new digital compact cameras, HP also announced today that they will soon release three new printers, including two photo printers (D7260, D7460) and one all-in-one printer (C5280).

The two photo printers can produce six-color photos in just 10 seconds. According to HP, the two printers come equipped with "touchscreens, an HP Red-Eye Removal button for easy removal of red-eye from photos directly on the printer, HP Smart Web Printing to ensure that pages from websites print without cutoff edges, Ethernet networking for added compatibility, and HP Auto Sense technology to prevent common printing mistakes." The HP D7460 model also has a built-in wirelessconnectivity and Ethernet. The HP Photosmart D7260 Printer and HP Photosmart D7460 Printer will be available in August for $149 and $179, respectively.

Canon Introduces the iPF6100 and iPF5100 Large Format Printers

Canon Europe Announces two new SELPHY Printers

Canon Europe has announced two new SELPHY compact photo printers: the CP520 and CP740. According to Canon, the printer's, " dye-sublimation thermal transfer (approx. 16.77 million colors per pixel) creates a fine gradation look of a film-based photograph. Besides, Protective Coating prevents uv exposure, water, spills and sticky fingers. Compact design (Dimension: 179.0 x 127.1 x 63.0 mm (7.1 x 5.0 x 2.5 in.), Weight: approx. 915 g (32.3 oz.)) allows you to print anywhere."

Fujifilm Announces the ASK-4000 and ASK-2000 Photo Printers

Fujifilm today introduced two new photo printers for the professional photographer, the ASK-4000 and ASK-2000. The new high-speed printers can produce 4 x 6 inch prints in 8 seconds and 8 x 10 inch prints in 40 seconds. The printers can be connected via a high-speed USB 2.0 interface to any laptop, allowing the professional photographer to "produce beautiful, natural-looking prints onsite at client events." The two printers are equipped with Fujifilm's Image Intelligence™ technology and color-correction software.
