The 8750 is without a doubt HP's flagship photo printer. The 9-ink photo printer was designed specifically for professionals and serious amateur photographer who demand fine detail and full color reproduction. Using a 9-piece set of HP Vivera inks, the 8750 can produce real-to-life colors, such as accurate skin tones, realistic skies, and rich landscapes. An extended color palette includes additional blue hues, which gives nearly every photo extra color depth.

For black and white photography, the HP 8750 Digital Zone "divides the dynamic range (DR) of an imaging system into 11 evenly spaced grayscale blocks or zones." This provides for a wide range of gray shades, as well as the blackest black (D-max) and the whitest white (D-min) possible. Whether printed in B&W or in full color, the photos are expected to last up to 100 years if left uncovered, and up to200 years if placed behind glass or in a photo album.

The HP 8750 can produce prints with up to 1,200 x 1,200 dpi black resolution, and 4,800 x 1,200 dpi color. Borderless prints from 4 x 6 to 13 x 19 inches are possible. The 8750 can print a standard 4 x 6 photo in about 29 seconds. The printer has a pop-up display screen on front top, a USB port and memory card slots on the front left (when looking from the front), and an ethernet and wireless router connection on the back right.
