Fujifilm today released the full specifications for the new digital SLR, the Fujifilm FinePix S5 Pro. First announced during Photokina 2006, the S5 Pro is scheduled for release in February 2007 for $1,999. The camera will be the first to contain double pixel technology with a 6.17 million S-pixel and 6.17 million R-pixel CCD SR Pro image sensor. The new sensor will have a dynamic range that is approximately 400% wider than that found on a single-pixel CCD. The S5 Pro will also have the benefit of Face Detection Technology, a weather-resistant body, and an 11-area AF.
