Leaf is a well-recognized brand name among professional photographers. They are best known for their high-quality Aptus camera backs, which you will find prominently displayed at their booth at Photokina. The one Leaf product gaining the most attention this year, however, is the brand-new medium-format digital camera line: the AFi. This comes not too long after the release of their last digital camera, the popular 65 and 75-megapixel dSLR Leaf Mamiya ProDigital II.





The new Afi camera line will consist of three models: the Leaf AFi -75, AFi -65 and AFi -54. The camera's 6 x 6 medium-format is actually squeezed into a compact 6 x 4.5 design, for fast, high-quality performance. The cameras will be fully compatible with  Leafs digital camera backs and other accessories.

New features on the AFi:

  • Specially designed Schneider-Kreuznach digital lenses for speed and sharp images
  • Adjustable control grip provides ergonomically optimal angles
  • Switching between portrait and landscape by turning only the camera back
