The Canon 30D dSLR Camera
The
Canon EOS 30D dSLR is easily one of Canon's best-selling digital SLR
cameras. The successor to the popular Canon 20D is a top competitor
among mid-rage dSLRs, such as the Nikon D200, with the right blend of
features and affordability to be attractive to both professional and
amateur photographers. Some of the Canon 30D's new features include a 8.2-megapixel CMOS sensor with a DIGIC II Image Processor, a 230,000-pixel 2.5-inch LCD display, true spot metering, durable magnesium body, and an improved shutter mechanism. The Canon 30D's built-in flash has also received an upgrade: its speed now matches the camera's 100,000 shutter cycle.

The Canon 30D has a very accurate 9-point autofocus system that can
utilize both normal and high-precision focus depending on the aperture and current light conditions. The user can either choose 9 focus points manually using a thumb-operated controller on the back, or the camera can select the points automatically.
The Canon 30D has six pre-set image modes:
The Canon 30D is also plenty fast. It's ready to go as soon as you are, with a startup time of only 0.15 seconds. Shutter lag is difficult to measure at only 65 milliseconds. In continuous shooting mode, the 30D can take up to 30 JPEG and 11 RAW (or 9 RAW + JPEG) photos in succession at speeds up to 5.0fps.
Of course, the Canon 30D is compatible with Canon's rich variety of EF and EF-S lenses. A BG-E2 battery grip can also be added to the base of the camera to increase the camera's battery life and improve handling.
