In addition to the nine new digital compact cameras, HP also announced today that they will soon release three new printers, including two photo printers (D7260, D7460) and one all-in-one printer (C5280).

The two photo printers can produce six-color photos in just 10 seconds. According to HP, the two printers come equipped with "touchscreens, an HP Red-Eye Removal button for easy removal of red-eye from photos directly on the printer, HP Smart Web Printing to ensure that pages from websites print without cutoff edges, Ethernet networking for added compatibility, and HP Auto Sense technology to prevent common printing mistakes." The HP D7460 model also has a built-in wireless connectivity and Ethernet. The HP Photosmart D7260 Printer and HP Photosmart D7460 Printer will be available in August for $149 and $179, respectively.

Capable of 24-inch wide and 17-inch wide prints respectively, the imagePROGRAF iPF6100 and iPF5100 printers represent the next generation of Canon large format technology. Each equipped with a 12-color pigment inkset, using new formulations and better ink drop control for improved dot patterns and reduced dot graininess. Canon Europe has announced two new SELPHY compact photo printers: the CP520 and CP740. Besides, Protective Coating prevents uv exposure, water, spills and sticky fingers. Fujifilm today introduced two new photo printers for the professional photographer, the ASK-4000 and ASK-2000. The new high-speed printers can produce 4 x 6 inch prints in 8 seconds and 8 x 10 inch prints in 40 seconds. The printers can be connected via a high-speed USB 2.0 interface to any laptop, allowing the professional photographer to "produce beautiful, natural-looking prints onsite at client events." The two printers are equipped with Fujifilm's Image Intelligence™ technology and color-correction software. "With today's announcement, we're bringing our printing expertise directly to professional photographers and giving them the solution they need to deliver beautiful, high-quality photographs to their customers almost immediately following an event," said James Riekert, Director of Marketing – Kiosks, Imaging Division, FUJIFILM U.S.A.

The Epson Stylus Photo R2400 Printer is one of Epson's premier photo printers, designed specifically for the advanced amateur and professional photographer. The R2400 uses the 8-color Epson UltraChrome K3 inks with three levels of black (black, light black and light-light black). This gradation produces superb black and white photographs. The inks are pigment-based and can last up to 200 years. The printer supports a variety of paper types, including matte, glossy, canvas, roll, posterboard, and several different types of artist papers. It can print photos up to 13-inches wide and 44-inches long. The Epson Stylus R2400 currently retails for about $750.

 
Epson's latest photo ink jet printer, the Stylus Photo 1400, prints high quality photos up to 13" x 19". The printer shares the same technology as the Epson Stylus Photo R260 and R380  printers, including Claria™ ink and DX5 MicroPiezo® print heads.
